ABOUT
Community Nursing Service in Greensburg, Inc. served Greensburg and surrounding communities since its incorporation in 1950 as a home health care agency. In 1993, a decision was made by the Board of Directors to shift the focus from direct service to the community to that of an educational function. As a result of this decision Community Nursing Service in Greensburg, Inc. is functioning as a non-profit organization that offers financial assistance for education in disciplines applicable to health care in a community setting. These scholarships are awarded at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels of academia. In 1999 Community Nursing Service in Greensburg, Inc. changed its name to CNS Health and Education Foundation to better reflect the current Mission.
OUR MISSION
Health Care is the most vital community concern today, a social issue to which CNS Health and Education Foundation focuses its efforts to better serve the area population. The Foundation therefore promotes health care education at various post-secondary levels through financial assistance in the forms of scholarships and grants to the eligible members of our community.
